I so resonate with Natasha’s letter, I too believe this next generation of girls is going to need and expect more from the church if they want them to stay.
Thank you for sharing some of your deepest, most tender thoughts! As I read them, I feel as though I have met a new friend, one that I recognize, one that I feel safe with. Part of the power of ALSSI, is the sisterhood it helps to create, by giving women a forum to, at last, say it! Say all of the things to those who have hungered to hear them. Thank you! I was filled!
I spent years thinking the if/then was the whole gospel. If I'm good, God shows up/helps/heals/fixes. When the formula broke I thought I'd lost faith. Turns out I'd only lost the vending machine. What came after was quieter and so much kinder. ♥️
This was wonderful. It really resonated this struggle I also experience. Glad I’m not the only one.

and doesn't her letter feel timely given everything the LDS church is doing right now?

"Turns out I'd only lost the vending machine" YESSSSS! And doesn't that vending machine need to break eventually anyway? For true growth at least....
Absolutely! It was always eating my money anyway! 😂
