Hello!
Just popping in quickly this month with some Christmas cake and a little reminder of a few upcoming ALSSI dates for January.
First, our team will be going on a holiday break beginning right after our Live Friday Chat, December 20. We’re looking forward to a little down time, and hope you’ll get some, too! 2025 promises to be a busy year for us with the release of our upcoming book, so we’re going to take this opportunity to relax and get ready.
Items for your calendar:
Some details:
Our first podcast episode of 2025 will drop Jan 7. We hope you’ll join us!
Exponent II magazine is hosting a Zoom launch party for our collaborative/contest issue Jan 9. Click the link for more details and to register for this event.
Our first Say More of 2025 will land in inboxes January 9. If you haven’t subscribed, we hope you will! If you haven’t contributed to an issue yet, we hope you’ll do that too! Reminder that submitting a piece for publication is another way to get a paid subscription to ALSSI. You’ll find guidelines here.
Our next ALSSI Book Club meeting will be January 16. We’ll be reading Living on the Edge of the Inside: A Survival Guide, by Christian Kimball. You can register here, and find upcoming dates and book selections by clicking the events tab at our website.
Our next LIVE-live Friday Chat will be held on Zoom January 24. No registration required—simply show up for our usual chat at 10:00 am mtn, and click the link to join the meeting.
Now for a little end-of-year inspiration—
But why stop at one great quote when you can have five? (all are from Accidental Saints: Finding God in All the Wrong People)
“In seeking God, we often find ourselves unexpectedly finding ourselves.”
“God is found in the messiness and chaos of life, not in our neat and tidy packages.”
“Grace is not about deserving; it's about receiving.”
“Faith is not about having all the answers; it's about being comfortable with the questions.”
“God's love is not conditional; it is relentless.”

Our best to you and yours for Christmas and the New Year!
Thanks so much for your continued support, of our project but also of each other. You humble and inspire us daily. Onward! ❤️
Love,
