Hello!
Time for a quick roundup of all-things At Last She Said It. Fall looks to be busy around here, and we don’t want you to miss a thing!
Upcoming Episodes:
Feels like we’re speeding through Season 10—hope you’re enjoying the episodes as much as we’re enjoying the conversations! Here’s a glimpse of what’s just ahead:
8/29: Bonus—Navigating Transitions 2 | Listener Stories
9/02: Let’s Talk About Sanctuary
9/09: Embracing Your Journey | Jen Dille
9/12: Bonus—Navigating Transitions 3 | Listener Stories
9/16: Is it Too Expensive to Be a Latter-day Saint? | Natalie Brown
If you’re a Substack subscriber (free or paid), you may have noticed this season we’ve started emailing the episode post each week, containing all the Notes & Quotes. No need to go searching our website for resources and show notes—now we’re coming to you!
If you know someone who hasn’t subscribed but might appreciate receiving our episode in a weekly email, we hope you’ll pass it along.
Upcoming Live Events:
We’ll be at the Signature Books table at Faith Matters’ Restore gathering September 26 and 27 in Orem, UT. We hope you’ll stop by and say hello!
We’ll be in St. George, UT to sign books and share conversation the evening of Friday, October 10. The event is free, but space is limited so you’ll need to sign up. Save the date now, and watch for more details and a registration link coming soon!
Upcoming ALSRI Book Club:
It’s time to start reading! The last At Last She Read It book discussion of the year will be Thursday, October 9 at 7:00 pm Mtn. This time Shaless and Lindsie will be focusing on Jana Riess’s book, The Next Mormons: How Millennials are Changing the LDS Church. Please come enjoy the discussion whether or not you’ve read the book! You can register to receive a Zoom link by clicking here.
Upcoming Project:
We’re working with our friends at Signature Books to produce a companion journal for our book. We envision a resource full of questions, quotes, and discussion prompts aimed at inspiring honest conversations with yourself (and others) about faith, church, and everything in between! We could use your help.
Which option would you prefer to use: A) A lay-flat journal with space after each question to record your responses, or B) A handbook of questions (no writing space included) to prompt conversations and/or entries in your personal journal?
Thanks for your reply! Your opinion will help—we want to create an offering that will add real value, not just take up space in your bookcase.
Upcoming Changes:
Our Friday Live Chats will be switching to an all-Zoom format beginning in September. We hope this will give our paid subscribers a little something extra to show our thanks for your continued support. We have two dates for September—mark your calendar now!
9/05 and 9/12: ALSSI Friday Live Chats with S & C
As usual, there will be no registration required—we’ll drop the Zoom link in our Substack chat at 10:00 am Mtn on the scheduled dates. Show up and we’ll talk about the week’s episode, or whatever’s on your mind!
Want to join but can’t make it at our usual time?
We know some of you have enjoyed coming to our Friday Live Chat threads at a later time to read the conversation and add your own 2 cents. We want everyone to be able to participate! To that end, we’re hoping to make a recording of these Friday Zoom chats available to paid subscribers. Watch our Substack chat for details.
The chat community is an extraordinary group of women who specialize in supporting each other. Thank you all! We’re regularly blown away by the conversations that take place in the ALSSI chat space. If you’re looking for such a group, we hope you’ll consider a paid subscription. While not tax deductible (regular donations are), it’s a great way to support the project and get a little something extra in return. To make it easier, we’ve got an offer for you…
Upcoming Fall Sale:
September marks our second anniversary on Substack! We love being able to deliver our Thursday Newsletters (Say More, Worthy Stuff, and ALSSI News) right to your inbox, share episode transcripts, and provide a platform for real-time chat. We hope you’re enjoying having everything in one place as much as we are!
To celebrate our anniversary, we’re offering 25% off annual subscriptions for a limited time. Click here to subscribe! Got questions? Email them to atlastshesaidit@gmail.com. Thanks so much for all the ways you contribute to the podcast and community. Your financial support makes the whole project possible!
