Yes, it’s October and when it’s gorgeous, it’s gorgeous! As these moments grow fewer and farther between, I appreciate them more.

But I’m going to be honest and tell you that when I drew this little cartoon of myself about 15 years or so ago, I was telling the truth. I’m not a lover of fall, nor even a liker. I think this is actually a body-problem for me, not a mind one. The changing light is not my friend.

No matter! I just try doubly hard to celebrate all the goodness, and there’s plenty of that, so let’s check out a few things that are making me happy right now.

Asemic Writing

Asemic writing by Barbara Galinska kaligrafia

You may have heard me talk about asemic writing before, a hybrid art form fusing text and image. Your brain registers the marks as writing, though they have no meaning whatsoever. You’re free to interpret it for yourself. This stunning photo from Barbara Galinska of her work reminded me of General Conference: A stream of revelation, pouring down from heaven (as characterized by your average church member).

What does it all mean? That’s for you to decide.
