*A note from the curator*

As we approached a new year, the ALSSI team wondered how we could make the first issue of Say More in 2025 different from anything we’ve done before. After some brainstorming, we decided to share a few of the many voicemails we receive from our listeners. As I started to listen and transcribe, I realized I want to incorporate many of the themes and thoughts shared in these voicemails into my own life. I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions, but your shared insights and vulnerability inspired me. I found the opportunity to listen to and learn from your collective wisdom extremely humbling and I made a list of important reminders and affirmations to carry with me into the new year. I lovingly share this list inspired by all of you in hopes that it enriches your journey into 2025.

I would echo the words of St. Catherine of Genoa when she said, “My deepest me is God.” I would say to my younger self, to every girl, to every woman, your deepest you is God. Your deepest you is exquisite and gorgeous and good. You are made of revolutionary love that is creative, resilient, and wise. Get eyes for this divine presence in you that cannot be hurt or broken or lost. Listen to it. Relax into it. Trust it above everyone and everything else. Let your human self fall in love with it. It’s got you completely. It knows what is uniquely right for you in every moment of your life. It will make you brave, make you glow, turn you into a force that lifts the world in a way no one or nothing has the power to undo.
