You know that quote about March? That it comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb? Well for those of us in northern Utah it goes back and forth, actually. From lion to lamb to lion to lamb. It does a number on my psyche—to be teased for a day or two with sun .…only to have it snow the next day. It’s the worst kind of cruelty after already having five months of winter. But we press on because what choice do we have? Here are a few things that I have been able to do indoors this month when the weather has continued to be naughty—
"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished."
- Lao Tzu
Worthy to Think About—
I love everything about the writings and speakings of Elizabeth Gilbert. I loved her book Big Magic, but I am probably the last person to finally read Eat, Pray, Love, as it finally happened via audio book from my library a few weeks ago. After reading it I started re-listening to some of her old podcast interviews with some great thinkers. Here she is with Pete Holmes. And here are two quotes I had to scribble down from that podcast episode—
Just because something ends doesn’t mean it was a failure.
~Elizabeth Gilbert
or how about this gem—
“I am a child of God just like everyone else, and I am a constituent of creation. And therefore I have every authority in the world to participate in its unfolding.”
~Elizabeth Gilbert
