What beautiful thoughts ❤️ I love those moments when we become blessings for each other. Those moments feel so divine for me because they aren’t driven by begging or pleading, just by pure love.
I'd never considered the subtle but important shift between begging and pleading, and love freely given. One feels pure, and one feels conditional. This could be another reason I didn't feel like god really loved me until so recently in my life, when I have learned to feel God's love through connection to the world and the people in it. I never have to ask for that love, only allow it. Thanks, Stephenie!
Learning to live with the uncertainties, the vagaries, the kicks and the pricks of life is, I believe, the work of a lifetime. And I acknowledge I live with much privilege which undoubtedly shields me on a daily basis more than I comprehend. Yes the sure place is love.
It's given me a handle to grab in the whole complicated blessings conversation over the years, anyway, which has brought me some peace. Hope it can help you too. —S.

"The sure place is love" is a phrase to live by. Thanks for that, Kathie. —S.
This is a perfect explanation "if no one deserves a tragedy, how can anyone deserve a blessing?"
