So says Martin Buber, and if you don’t know his work but his name sounds familiar, it may be because I touched briefly on his ideas contrasting trust in vs. belief that in our recent episode about Myth.
I’m starting with him here because that line sits at the heart of Susan’s Presence Project, aka Summer 2026. The best way for me to really accomplish a thing is to find an alliterative title for whatever it is I’m supposed to be doing—surely that’s 90% of the work, isn’t it?
This approach would undoubtedly explain a lot about my life, especially if you looked in my closets. Let’s just say I’m a better starter than finisher, but I’m really gifted at making it Sound Like I’m Doing Something.
Look, I want to become a master of presence, with a deep grasp of the Fundamental Meaning Underlying All Things, including this moment right now.
