Hello!
Spring is springing where we are, and we hope good things are happening wherever you are as well. The past 3 months have been extraordinarily busy at ALSSI, and we can’t deny we’re looking forward to our upcoming break perhaps a little more eagerly than usual. But in the meantime, here are a few things we’d like you to keep in mind …
Our book is scheduled to drop April 28 —
We’re sorry we can’t stop talking about it, but we’re just getting started!
We’ll kick off our little book tour at our publisher, Signature Books (thanks again, friends!) in Salt Lake City on May 8. Next we’ll be at Benchmark Books, also in Salt Lake, and then in Provo at the Library a few days later. If you’re a Waters of Mormon group member on Facebook, we’ll be speaking at the annual WoM gathering in Salt Lake on May 22, which will also be livestreamed.
On May 30, Cynthia heads south to join Susan in AZ for enchiladas at Gadzooks and a book event in Mesa. Then we’ll hop on a plane and do it all again in Denver on June 1. Whew! That schedule is tiring just to type! Many thanks to our friends who have volunteered to host and/or help with these events, and especially to our team member Blakelee who is handling all the details.
We expect to add a few more in the coming months. Please email us if you have a suggestion for a possible future event!
Meanwhile, you can preorder the book here, or ask for it at your local bookstore. On April 28, it will available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook.
Speaking of books … Season 9 is almost in the books!
It’s hard to believe,
but we’re already in the wind-up for this season. We’re not done yet, however, and we’ve saved some amazing conversations for our last few episodes! Don’t miss C.A. Larson on April 1, Linda Hamilton on April 8, and our Season 9 Finale on April 15.
We have some bonus episodes planned during our break, and we’ll keep you posted on the exact date of our return with new episodes for Season 10. Thanks so much for all your support this season! We hope you’ve enjoyed our conversations as much as we’ve enjoyed bringing them to you.
It’s almost time! At Last She Read It Book Club —
Our next meeting is finally almost here! April 17 at 7:00 pm Mtn we’ll be discussing The Making of Biblical Womanhood, by Beth Allison Barr. Facilitators Shaless and Lindsie really bring it to these discussions, so you won’t want to miss it. We hope you’ll join us! Registration is required, and you can register by clicking here.
