In this conversation, Caitlin Connolly talks about her experience manifesting the unseen “in large scale and present” in her painting, In Their Image. It’s a conversation about a divine mother we’ve been missing, and daring to bring her into existence for ourselves. “I have found that what I am trying to learn about womanhood…and the divine feminine…has come through women. And will continue to. If we are brave enough to get uncomfortable and do that work.”

Absolutely profound! I can’t thank you all enough for making this available. There were so many statements in this episode that I want to remember and think more about. I agree completely: I don’t want men to tell me about my Mother. Susan’s quote from RBG was spot on. These podcasts are a lifeline for me! Thank you all!

I have one issue with this whole podcast. When you were talking about how Caitlyn “tapped” into who our divine mother is. I would feel inspired or revealed would be better words. I feel the spirit lead her to create that image.

“We have these ideas and we feel like, ‘Am I pushing the envelope a little too much?’ But, if we can find one of the brethren who also kind of has a parallel idea to ours or can echo our idea, then it’s okay. And that’s our whole life in the church, our whole life as women in the church.” “We’re always trying to find space for ourselves and our experiences that make them okay somehow, justify them within this structure.”
I audibly exclaimed, “wow” at this point in the episode. Thank you for always putting my feelings into words in a way I didn’t know was possible.
