How do you envision God? Or do you think of Heavenly Parents? How much control do you believe They have over what happens to us on earth? These are questions we may not spend much time thinking about until old ideas stop working. Being forced outside a God-box can be scary, painful, liberating, faith saving—it’s different for everyone, and the answers may change with our experiences. The good news is, we’re spiritually equipped to ask the big questions for ourselves, and then to trust the answers we receive. In this episode, Cynthia and Susan discuss their own evolving thoughts about the nature of God.

Thank you so much for your podcasts!! You women rock!!
Susan, I am interested in the NIV woman’s bible that you mentioned in the podcast that your husband gave you. When I looked, I found there are numerous women’s bibles. Would you mind sharing exactly which one you have? (A photo would be awesome if possible ?)
Many thanks! ?

Hi Joni, There’s a link to that Bible in the show notes for Episode 083: Making Peace. It’ll take you right there. It’s not perfect, but there are many things about it I like a lot. And it’s a very pretty book, which I also enjoy — I like seeing it on my desk.
